The 2nd City Chorus participated in the Alpine Kiwanis Brat Days. The chorus provided barbershop harmony to this years attendees for Brat Days. We hope our participation helped the Alpine Kiwanis Club continue to raise monies for the Rockford community. 

The 2nd City Chorus competes in the Illinois District 2023 contest. The chorus performed  the “Oliver Murder Medley” and “Murder in the Key Bb”. They provided the audience with lots of laughs and the judges with some great memories. 

The chorus achieved the goal of being an entertaining chorus that would be one of the top 10 choruses in the Illinois District for 2023. It was a fantastic weekend! 

The 2nd City Chorus is happy to offer FREE SINGING LESSONS for 6 consecutive Tuesday evenings beginning March 5, and concluding on April 9, 2024. It is open to women, men, and students. Come join us for singing lessons in a safe singing environment, where no matter what choral singing experience you have, you are welcome to join us!  During the first part of the rehearsal, lessons are given by our director Joe Tomecek in a 45 minute session each week. During the second half of the rehearsal you will learn a new song with the entire 2nd City Chorus.
